What’s Included With Every BluGen Order
Price-per-milligram is the wrong way to compare research peptide sourcing, because two vials at the same nominal price can carry very different documentation, identity confidence, and actual peptide mass. This page lists exactly what comes with a BluGen order and how to evaluate value in RUO sourcing.
Included with every order
- Lot-specific certificate of analysis (CoA) — HPLC purity, MS identity, and net peptide content for the lot you receive, verifiable in the CoA Library.
- Mass-spec identity confirmation — observed mass matched to the calculated mass for the labeled sequence (and any modification).
- Net peptide content — so molarity calculations use the true active mass, not gross vial weight.
- Sealed laboratory packaging — lyophilized material in borosilicate vials with butyl stopper and aluminum overseal.
- Lot traceability — lot number tied to the CoA and re-test records for the stability window.
- Documentation packet for procurement — CoA, packing slip, and W-9 / NET-30 paperwork for institutions.
How to evaluate value in RUO sourcing
When comparing suppliers, weigh the full picture rather than headline price:
- Purity and identity. A purity number with no MS identity is incomplete. Both should appear on the lot CoA.
- Net peptide vs. gross mass. A “10 mg” vial without net peptide content may contain meaningfully less active peptide. See how to read a CoA.
- Lot-specific vs. generic documentation. A CoA that is identical across every lot is not lot-specific.
- Procurement fit. PO support, NET-30 terms, and a documented returns/conformity policy reduce institutional friction and risk.
- Turnaround. Stocked SKUs typically ship within 1–2 business days; multi-lot orders schedule by quote.
What value does not mean here
BluGen does not compete on being the cheapest source of any compound, and publishes no human dosing, cost-per-dose, or consumer-use guidance. Materials are research-use-only. For pricing on a specific catalog item or a volume quote, see the catalog or contact the procurement desk.
