Sermorelin in research

Sermorelin is the 29-residue N-terminal fragment of native GHRH and is the minimum sequence reported in the literature to retain full GHRH-receptor activity. Research labs use sermorelin as a parent reference standard against modified GHRH analogues (CJC-1295, Tesamorelin) in receptor-binding, cAMP, and cell-line signaling assays.

Identity and reference-standard use

Each lot ships with ≥99% HPLC purity and MS identity verification covering the full 29-residue sequence and the C-terminal amide. Net peptide content is reported on the CoA. Sermorelin is a useful reference standard for SAR work; we can supply matched-lot sermorelin alongside CJC-1295 (No DAC) for direct comparison studies.

Storage and reconstitution

Hold lyophilized vials sealed at -20 °C protected from light. Sermorelin is sensitive to oxidation at Met-27; reconstitute with bacteriostatic water and aliquot before freezing. Avoid prolonged storage of reconstituted material above 8 °C.

Documentation

CoA covers identity (MS), purity (HPLC), Met-oxidation summary where in scope, and net peptide content. Batch records by lot are filed against the SKU.

Storage and handling

Handle Sermorelin as a lyophilized research reagent: cold, dry, light-protected storage; choose reconstitution buffer per your SOP; plan aliquots to limit freeze–thaw; and keep the lot CoA with the inventory record.

Research framing

Use Sermorelin in published model-system terms only — receptor family, pathway context, assay controls, and concentration planning. Do not transfer assumptions from adjacent peptides without a documented comparison protocol. Research use only.

Documentation checklist

  • Storage and stability records for the received lot
  • Lot CoA with HPLC, MS identity, and net peptide content
  • Literature and assay context filed with the protocol

Product FAQ

Is Sermorelin intended for human or clinical use?

No. BluGen listings are research use only (RUO) for qualified laboratory programs — not clinical, diagnostic, therapeutic, veterinary, food, drug, or cosmetic use.

What documentation ships with Sermorelin?

Each lot includes a certificate of analysis with HPLC purity, MS identity confirmation, and net peptide content. Verify lots in the CoA Library.

Where can I verify the current-lot CoA for Sermorelin?

Search by compound or lot number in the CoA Library: https://getblugen.com/coa-library/

What sequence is listed for Sermorelin?

The listed sequence is H-Tyr-Ala-Asp-Ala-Ile-Phe-Thr-Asn-Ser-Tyr-Arg-Lys-Val-Leu-Gly-Gln-Leu-Ser-Ala-Arg-Lys-Leu-Leu-Gln-Asp-Ile-Met-Ser-Arg-NH2. Confirm against the lot-specific CoA before release into inventory.

How should lyophilized Sermorelin be stored?

Store sealed vials cold, dry, and protected from light per the lot CoA and your institutional SOP. Aliquot reconstituted stock to limit freeze-thaw cycles.

Can institutions request a quote for Sermorelin?

Yes. Academic labs and CROs can request quotes and NET-30 billing after vendor qualification via the contact/procurement desk.

Where is the research guide for Sermorelin?

See the BluGen research guide for literature context, storage notes, and comparisons: https://getblugen.com/research/research-guide-sermorelin/
